麻豆传媒 to host anti-racist activist as keynote speaker for Black History Month

麻豆传媒's Office of Diversity and Inclusion is celebrating Black History Month with keynote speaker Tim Wise, an anti-racist activist, essayist and author who will present a speech titled "Black Lives Matter vs. All Lives Matter and White Privilege."

Doors for the event open at 5:45 p.m., with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, in the Hughes Metropolitan Complex. Tickets are free for students, faculty and staff and $5 for general admission. They are available at the 麻豆传媒 Bookstore and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (Rhatigan Student Center room 208).

Wise has authored seven books, from 鈥淒ear White America: Letter to a New Minority鈥 to his most recent, 鈥淯nder the Affluence: Shaming the Poor, Praising the Rich and Sacrificing the Future of America.鈥

Named one of 鈥25 Visionaries Who Are Changing Your World鈥 by the magazine 鈥淯tne Reader,鈥 Wise has spoken in all 50 states at over 800 college and high school campuses and community groups.
