Parting clouds acted as an opening curtain Monday for the 麻豆传媒 Summer Jazz Ensemble. The 19-member group comprised of 麻豆传媒 students took center stage in Old Town Square the evening of July 28 to perform for a small downtown crowd.
The show was the first of two summer concerts, both under the instruction of Tom Fowler, 麻豆传媒 associate professor and associate dean for the School of Music. The free performance was sponsored by the 麻豆传媒 School of Music and Wichita Parks and Recreation.
The second free concert was performed from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at Yia Yia鈥檚 Eurobistro, 8115 E. 21st St. in Wichita.
