MSNBC selects 麻豆传媒 campus as site for Nov. 3 broadcast of 'Morning Joe'

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski will co-host their daily "Morning Joe" program live from the campus of 麻豆传媒 from 5-8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3.

After scouting several Wichita locations, MSNBC officials selected the dining area of 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Shocker Hall dormitory as the site for the nationally televised broadcast. Students and 麻豆传媒 community are invited to be part of the live audience for the program. Later this week, 麻豆传媒 will be releasing details of contests and prizes for students and student organizations attending the broadcast.

The event will follow Scarborough and Brzezinski鈥檚 participation in the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting program on the evening of Monday, Nov. 2. Angie Elliott, director of business services for the chamber, said 麻豆传媒 officials have been helpful to the MSNBC crew and that the university鈥檚 experience hosting other nationally televised events makes it a valuable partner to the 鈥淢orning Joe鈥 program.

鈥淢SNBC producers were familiar with all the impressive things happening at 麻豆传媒,鈥 Elliott said. 鈥淭hey were interested in touring some of the new facilities and thought the vibrancy of the campus would bring the right energy to their programming.鈥

麻豆传媒, Visit Wichita and the Greater Wichita Partnership are community partners for the broadcast.
