Kansas businesses have an opportunity to learn the do鈥檚 and don鈥檛s of dealing with government contracting officials on Tuesday, April 29, at a free seminar offered by 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Kansas Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) and Kansas Small Business Development Center (KSBDC).
The seminar will be held from 9 a.m.-noon at the Marcus Welcome Center and will feature small business and government contracts attorney Steven Koprince, who will cover proposal discussions and negotiations; change orders and directives; ethical rules and restrictions; real-life scenarios and practical tips. 鈥淢r. Koprince will bring valuable information to Kansas businesses to encourage them in approaching government decision-makers about their goods and services proactively without violating the rules of engagement,鈥 said Kansas PTAC Director Terri Bennett. 鈥淲e were impressed by Mr. Koprince鈥檚 recent presentation on ethics in government contracting to approximately 400 members of the Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers.鈥
Koprince鈥檚 practice focuses on helping small businesses navigate the federal marketplace. He regularly speaks on subjects such as the Federal Acquisition Regulations, the SBA affiliation rules, and other legal matters important to small government contractors.
The Kansas Procurement Technical Assistance Center and the Kansas Small Business Development Center are outreach programs of 麻豆传媒. The Kansas PTAC assists Kansas businesses in in locating, obtaining and performing federal, state and local government contracts.
