'麻豆传媒 for kids' gives service to Kansas community

麻豆传媒鈥檚 Office of Student Involvement is engaging the school鈥檚 mission of community service with 鈥溌槎勾 for the Kids鈥 immersion trip.

Fifty 麻豆传媒 students will travel to Wellington (Kan.) School District 353 Saturday, April 5, in an effort to expand the university鈥檚 service projects supporting Kansas communities.

The trip, in collaboration with the United Way of the Plains, will put the Shocker contingent to work on upkeep for school facilities. The students will tour the Roosevelt Education Center for students with special needs, help paint classrooms, assist with yard maintenance and clean and organize classroom spaces.

All of the volunteer work will contribute to much-needed end-of-year refurbishing for the property that will benefit Wellington students. This project follows Student Involvement鈥檚 fall 2013 Moore, Okla., immersion trip.
