'Faith Healer' coming to stage at Wichita State

The 麻豆传媒 School of Performing Arts/Theatre will present the play 鈥淔aith Healer鈥 at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, through Saturday, April 13, and 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13, and Sunday, April 14, in the Welsbacher Theatre at the Hughes Metropolitan Complex, 29th and Oliver, Entrance F.

Tickets -- $10 for general public; $8 military/senior citizens/faculty/staff; and $6 students 鈥 are available through the College of Fine Arts Box Office, 316-978-3233 or . 鈥淔aith Healer鈥 is rated PG.

鈥淔aith Healer鈥 is a darkly lyrical and touching tale of a traveling faith healer roaming through Scotland and Wales with his wife and manager. This play by Irish dramatist Brian Friel deals with the artist as both creator and destroyer.

The three-person cast features theatre performance majors Damian Padilla as Frank, Sheena Monroe as Grace and Caleb Coffman as Teddy. 鈥淔aith Healer鈥 is directed by design and technical theatre major Amber Creasser with Chelsey Erskin, also a design and technical theatre major, as stage manager. Design and technical theatre student designers are Jonathan Standridge (set), Maddie Nevins (costumes) and Sandy Cabrera (props). Associate professor David Neville is designing lights.
