The Media Resources Center announces that 麻豆传媒 students Robert Dodrill and Tyler Emerson are this year's winners of the Holman Screenwriting Competition. A panel of judges selected Dodrill's script "First National" and Emerson's "Brothers" as first-place winners. The competition, inaugurated in 1998, is named in honor of Carol Holman, first director of 麻豆传媒's Media Resources Center. The emphasis on writing for film complements a growing interest in independent filmmaking in the Wichita area. The award will be presented to Dodrill and Emerson during a live broadcast of Studio B on Channel 13 at noon today (Wednesday, May 7), with a rebroadcast at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 8.
