Reminders

* John Stanga, longtime 麻豆传媒 political science professor, died Dec. 30. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 7) at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 909 S. Market. Burial will be in Tangipahoa, La. Stanga is survived by his wife, Joyce, and three sons, Joseph, John Peter and Thomas.

* Electrical power service will be shut off to Duerksen Fine Arts Center and Wiedemann Hall from 8 a.m. until about 5 p.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 7). Students, faculty and staff in these facilities should safely shut down their computers and other power sensitive personal and university equipment of their choice before 8 a.m. today. * Electrical power service will be shut off to Ablah Library, Media Resources Center, Wallace Hall and the Wallace Hall Annex from 8 a.m. until about 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9. Students, faculty and staff in these facilities should safely shutdown their computers and other power sensitive personal and university equipment of their choice before 8 a.m. that morning. * If you have checks that came in during the holiday break, the envelope must accompany them so the 麻豆传媒 Foundation can document that they were postmarked by Dec. 31. The foundation wants donors to receive proper tax credit for calendar year 2008, and all 2008 deposits must be delivered to the foundation by noon today (Wednesday, Jan. 7).

* The elearning Resource Hub has scheduled more Blackboard 8 Transition Training sessions for January to make sure all faculty/staff using Blackboard have the opportunity to attend.
