* The School of Community Affairs, department of ethnic studies, will hold it first Black Family Forum from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Dec. 13, in 100 Lindquist Hall. * Shift Space has two big events planned this weekend at 803 E. 3rd St. At 7 p.m. today (Friday, Dec. 12) come to a free screening of David Lynch's bizarre masterpiece "Blue Velvet." Then from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, the opening reception of Amber Vanhatala Stene's MFA thesis exhibition will be held in the Shift Space Gallery.
* The men's basketball team hosts Gardner Webb at 7:05 p.m. today (Friday, Dec. 12), and the women's team will host Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 2:05 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, in Charles Koch Arena. Call 978-3267 for tickets.
* A College of Fine Arts Institute concert will be performed at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, in Miller Concert Hall. Admission is free.
