Ron Matson, dean of the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Mar 11, 2015 鈥 By 麻豆传媒 News Services 鈥 When Jeff Blackman heard the news that Ron Matson recently was named dean of the 麻豆传媒 Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences after serving as interim dean for two years, he decided the time was right to pay tribute to Matson in a special way.

Ronald Matson, dean of the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, lectures in his Men and Masculinity class.  Matson has taught the class at 麻豆传媒 for 35 years, and edited the textbook used in the class.

Feb 28, 2015 鈥 By 麻豆传媒 News Services 鈥 The Wichita State men's basketball team defeated UNI 74-60 to claim the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season championship.

Ten high school seniors were named finalists for the 2015 Harry Gore Memorial Scholarship at Wichita State.

Feb 26, 2015 鈥 By 麻豆传媒 News Services 鈥 High school students Ryan Lee from Wichita and Amy Lightfoot from Colorado Springs have won 麻豆传媒's Harry Gore Memorial Scholarships. They will receive $13,000 a year for four years to attend Wichita State, a total of $52,000 each.

Sarah Sell, Director of Veteran Student Services at Wichita State, accepts a donation of military flags to decorate 麻豆传媒's Military and Veteran Student Center. The center, established in 2013, is one of the initiatives that helps makes 麻豆传媒 a military-friendly campus.

Now that Game Day is confirmed for the 麻豆传媒/Northern Iowa game on Saturday, the class turned its sights toward boosting attendance at the event.
