Observatory holding winter programs

Twelve high schoolers chosen as 麻豆传媒 scholarship finalists

Jan 22, 2013 鈥� By 麻豆传媒 News Services 鈥� 麻豆传媒 has chosen the top 12 finalists in the annual Distinguished Scholarship Invitational. Finalists will be back on campus Wednesday, Jan. 30, for final interviews. The announcement of the Gore Scholars will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31, in the Marcus Welcome Center. All finalists will receive competitive scholarship packages to attend 麻豆传媒 in the fall.

Dec 12, 2012 鈥� By Shannon Littlejohn 鈥� In Academe news, Wichita State's quartet in residence, the St. Petersburg String Quartet, performed along with other 麻豆传媒 faculty and student musicians at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory in Russia, and Elaine Steinke was inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. In addition, the deaths of D. Ray Cook, Richard Allen Moellenberndt, Linda Tedder and Kaylyn Turner are noted.

Elaine Steinke traveled to Washington, D.C., in October for her induction as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing.

Dec 11, 2012 鈥� By 麻豆传媒 News Services 鈥� Kiah Danielle Duggins, an International Baccalaureate senior at Wichita High School East, is the winner of 麻豆传媒's 2013-2014 Clay Barton Scholarship in Business. She will receive $11,000 a year for four years to attend 麻豆传媒.

Dec 6, 2012 鈥� By 麻豆传媒 News Services 鈥� Wichita State speech-language pathology doctoral student Kai-Mei Chen was selected over the summer as a recipient of the 2012 American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Minority Student Leadership Program Award. She received complimentary registration and travel funds for the ASHA Convention Nov. 15-17 in Atlanta.
